ABOUT

From your imagination to reality
HI, I AM ZAZA.
In 2022, I traveled to seven countries in seven months and witnessed many consequences of tourism firsthand.
As a passionate traveler and an insider of the hospitality industry, I returned with questions:
How does our presence as travelers impact the places we visit?
And how do we build mindful spaces and experiences that give back to the environment and communities?
This blog is the crossroads of two passions: the art of creating spaces and the joy of shaping regenerative travel experiences for myself and for others.
Regenerative Travel / Hospitality / living
Change begins in our minds, imagining what could be possible.
Reciprocity
Travel is not just about taking; it's about giving back. Approaching places with a hospitality mindset means honoring the people, cultures, and ecosystems that welcome us. It’s about being an engaged guest—one who listens, contributes, and nurtures relationships with the places and people encountered.
Evolvement
Regenerative travel and storytelling are not static; they evolve. Every journey transforms both the traveler and the places visited. This principle embraces continuous learning, self-awareness, and adaptability, strengthening a growth mindset that deepens connections and inspires meaningful change.
Presence
The world shows its depth when we move at a mindful pace. Slowing down means engaging fully with our surroundings, living in the present moment, and appreciating the subtleties of a place—its sounds, textures, and spirit. In storytelling, this translates to crafting narratives that invite reflection rather than just surface-level highlights.
Simplicity
Inspired by minimalism, this value promotes conscious choices—whether in travel, storytelling, or daily life. It’s about traveling light, reducing waste, and seeking experiences over excess. In storytelling, it means stripping away noise to focus on what truly matters: the heart of a place, the emotions of a journey, and the wisdom gained.
Regeneration
Everything we do—how we travel, the stories we tell, the way we engage—has an impact. A regenerative mindset acknowledges our interconnectedness with people, nature, and culture, striving to leave places healthier than we found them. It’s about designing travel experiences and narratives that inspire care, healing, and reciprocity.
Curiosity
True storytelling and mindful travel stem from genuine curiosity. This value encourages listening deeply—to locals, to nature, to history—before speaking or acting. It’s about honoring diverse perspectives, uncovering hidden narratives, and embracing the unknown with humility and openness.
MY STORY
Born and grown in Berlin, this city has raised and shaped me. But as much as I love my home, I always knew I wanted to leave. So, at 13, I started planning my first escape and prepared for my high school year in the United States. I organized most of this myself except when I needed my parents’ signatures. In 2008/2009 I lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and experienced the life of an American high schooler (including the Prom and secret party experiences).
I started my first waiting job at 18 while finishing my high school degree in Germany. That summer, my best friend and I traveled by Greyhound bus from the U.S. West Coast to New York for two months.
I took a year off and worked in bars and clubs while doing an internship at a magazine. In 2012, I began my law studies and once again used the opportunity to travel and study for a semester in Santiago de Chile. I backpacked for one month alone through Chile, which I absolutely loved.
Returning from Chile, I found myself a part-time job in a restaurant, which would completely change my life forever. I met my partner of life, and together, we managed the restaurant for three years until the owners sold it during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although a loss, this situation opened new opportunities and allowed us to jump off to what I call our Trip22, with the mission to study the tourism and venture market for our own future business ideas. Sparked by a travel encounter in Peru, where we worked for a Swiss woman in a hotel, our path unexpectedly led us to move to the calm of the Swiss Alps in 2024.
This movement wasn’t just for living closer to nature but also a needed next step to realizing a dream: to craft our own physical space that embodies our vision of hospitality.
This is where I am currently – working as a hotel receptionist while simultaneously building this blog, changing my money mindset, and shaping our business plan for our own hospitality business.
Hospitality, to me, is not a career – it’s a way of living and a mindset that infuses connection, creativity, and growth into every facet of my life.
For me, happiness lies in celebrating the simple things in life, like having a good conversation with a dear person over a glass of wine, tasting a delicious meal, dancing in the kitchen to your favorite song, a walk in the mountains or on the beach, a laugh with a stranger.
The mountains teach me that you don’t have to travel far to slow down, be curious, and be present in your environment.
